ProcedureEdit

Apply In Person

  1. To Get a Financial Affidavit, the applicant has to approach the United States Court link
    NOTE: Search by address, city, state or ZIP Code and click the “Location” button.
  2. The applicant has to download the application form from the following link
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Submit the documents and completed form to the notary, a lawyer, or the court clerk.
  7. The applicant has to give the details orally to the lawyer and make a sign in the slip given by the lawyer and signature of witness.
  8. The fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
  9. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  10. If the applicant is eligible for the counsel, will get the mail of hearing from the U.S court.
  11. The applicant has to visit the court on the date of schedule.
  12. The applicant has to give all the information about financial status at end of the case.
  13. The processing time for this Affidavit takes up to 1 to 2 months or it will be intimated by the court.
