Apply In Person
- To Get Certified Copy (Court), the applicant has to approach the Federal courts of United States link
- Note: The applicant can search their nearby courts by entering their city, state or zip code.
- The applicant has to download the application form from the following link
- The applicant has to enter all the necessary details in the application form (Incomplete application forms are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
- Submit the application form and the documents to the authority officer.
- Upon receipt of the application, each judge or employee will be notified that the applicant requested his or her report, then a copy of the requested report will be sent to applicant.
- If the applicant is requesting a paper copy rather than an electronic copy the applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as notified by the authority.
- The processing time of this procedure takes up to 7-15 days
- The fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority request.

- Certified Copy is a duplicate of a primary document that is endorsed by a governmental or independent agency to guarantee its authenticity. If the primary document is not legitimate, however, the certified copy cannot be used to guarantee if it's genuine.
- Individual who wants to get a certified copy of their legal documents, must apply for the same.
