- To Apply for Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) Certification, the applicant has to make the application online via the following link
- To Apply for Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) Certification first the applicant has to click “Login” and click “Register an Account” enter the applicant's particular and click “Submit”.
- After submission, the page will automatically sign in.
- The applicant has to click the certification menu and select “Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) Certification”.
- Next, the applicant has to click “Become a CPSI” and scroll down to click “Apply for the exam” in the Computer-Based Examination Only section.
- It will direct to the purchase page where the applicant has to click “Add to cart” and purchase the application.
- Then the applicant has to fill out the application and pay the fee as prescribed and send it to the registered email.
- Once a completed CPSI examination application and application fee are submitted, it will take 3-5 business days for processing and submission to the professional testing company.
- A receipt will be received immediately, however, the CPSI Test Candidate providing individuals with the information needed to schedule the examination will not arrive for 3-5 business days via the registered email.
- Next, the applicant has to take on the course as instructed to them and complete the computer-based exam on the scheduled date.
- The CPSI exam consists of 100 questions, 95 scored, and 5 unscored pre-tests.
- Exam results are provided on-site after the exam.
- After successful completion of the exam, the applicant can receive the certificate via e-mail.
- Note:
- Applicants will have 90 days from the time of registration to take the CPSI exam.

- CPSI Online Learning Course: This course provides in-depth analysis of ASTM standards related to playground safety focused on the process of safety inspection from design, through audit and inspection, to maintenance and risk management practices. Participants must complete the entire Online Learning Course at least 24 hours before the CPSI Virtual Session.
- Virtual Instructor Training Session: This training session led by the CPSI course instructor provides practical training on how to apply the ASTM standards and the CPSC guidelines to playground environments. The training is conducted through a four-hour Zoom meeting.
