Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To register as real estate agent, please visit “WEST BENGAL HOUSING INDUSTRY REGULATORY AUTHORITY”.
2. The address and contact details of the office can be found in the following link: - Contact link.
3. Visit the Office and get the Application form to register as real estate agent from the relevant department.
4. Please fill the application with essential information and details and it should be attested with the applicant’s signature.
5. Make sure that you have all the documents that are listed in “Required Documents” section of this page. Attach all the important documents mentioned.
6. Then, it should be submitted to the relevant authority. Also pay the required fees for the application process at the office as directed by the officials. You will be given a acknowledgement receipt. Please keep it safe for future reference.
7. And your application and attached documents will be passed for verification to check if there is any deficiency.
8. After all the processes are completed, concerned officials will approve the application and proceed with the registration process.
9. Once the license is ready to be collected, office will inform the applicant to collect it through any applicable means.
   

Apply Online:

1. To register as a real estate agent through online, visit the link Link - Agent Registration Link.
2. On the opened page fill in your Log in credentials if you already have an account or you can register newly by clicking the “Register option”.
3. Now after creating your account successfully, Please enter your User ID and password and login to your account.
4. Now on the opened page fill in all the required columns and attach all the required documents.
5. Now check one and click on “Save and Continue” for each part once finished.
6. Please pay the required fee by selecting your convenient payment method.
7. After completing everything, check once and click on ‘Submit’.
8. Your application and the corresponding documents will be subjected to the necessary verifications. After successful verification of documents, the registration for real estate agent will be processed.
   

Apply through Centres:

1. To apply through centres, the applicant has to approach the respective “CSC” centre in their area. Refer the following link for location: CSC Locator link
   • NOTE: The applicant has to select the state, district and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centres.
2. Please visit the centre and consult with the centre operator for your requirement.
3. If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
4. Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
5. The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
6. Applicant has to make necessary payment as centre operator quotes and don’t forget to take the receipt.
7. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
8. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
9. The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
10. Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority will issue the certificate.
11. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.

Eligibility

• Any person who wishes to register as a real estate agent can apply.
• The applicant must be resident of WEST BENGAL.
• The applicant should hold zero criminal records.
  

Fees

• Individual Real Estate agents of WEST BENGAL shall pay Rs. 10,000 as a registration fee.

Validity

• Once a real estate agent gets a RERA license, the license will be valid for 5 years.
• In case of any contravention to the Act, the registration will be cancelled by the authority.
