ProcedureEdit

Apply In-person

  1. Applicant may approach the Office of Deputy Director Fire Services to apply for this license.
  2. Following link provides contact details: Link for contacts
  3. Make sure that you have required documents to process your request.
  4. Please confirm that you are eligible to apply.
  5. Applicant must submit the completed form obtained from fire station with required documents.
  6. Your application will be accepted with advised fee as per authorities.
  7. The filled in application form may be given to the nearest Fire Station, or may also be sent directly to the Divisional Fire Officer, who is stationed at every District Head Quarters.
  8. This application will be processed further.
  9. Verification of document, Inspection of site and other scrutiny will be carried out.
  10. If everything in place and upon satisfactory grounds the certificate will be issued.
  11. The Fire safety certificate will be issued by the Divisional Fire Officer to the applicant directly either at the Fire Station or at the Divisional Fire Office.
Note: Grant or rejection of certificate depends on the department decision.

Apply Online Type1

  1. Following link takes you to the Online portal e-Bangla : Link for online portal
  2. Please select “Application for Fire Safety Certificate” option on the left part of the page under “ e-Services” menu.
  3. In the next window, Create new user ID and login using the credentials.
  4. In the new page enter / select prompted details to complete the procedure for applying.
  5. Once the online applying is over, The application will be processed as per in how to apply procedure to grant the license.



Apply through Centres:

  1. To apply through centres, the applicant has to approach the respective “CSC” centre in their area. Refer the following link for location: CSC Locator link
    • NOTE: The applicant has to select the state, district and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centres.
  2. Please visit the centre and consult with the centre operator for your requirement.
  3. If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
  4. Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
  5. The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
  6. Applicant has to make necessary payment as centre operator quotes and don’t forget to take the receipt.
  7. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
  8. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
  9. The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
  10. Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority will issue the certificate.
  11. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.

Required DocumentsEdit

  • Application form for applying. Applicant can collect application form from fire stations. Link for fire station : Link for contacts
  • Copy of Fire Safety recommendation duly endorsed by the Director-General under section 11C, if already possessed.
  • Two Copies of Site Plan of the Warehouse or Work Shop drawn to the scale of 1cm=1mtr.
  • A statement showing the name and maximum quantity of hazardous substances to be stored or processed in the premises.
  • A statement showing the details of fire safety measures available.
  • Duly filled planning permission.
  • Building plan application form with the signatures of land owner and licensed surveyor
  • Registered document in the name of applicant.
  • Certificate taken for 15 years (or) from the date of document executed
  • Other documents relating to title of the land
  • Aadhaar card of the applicant

  • Those proposing to construct multi stories building
  • Factories or Industries manufacturing products
  • Cinema halls
  • Schools
  • Hotels, Cracker shop, Stores etc,.


FeesEdit

On basis of report collected after inspection, requested license fees amount has to be paid.


ValidityEdit

  • Fire license expires in one year. Every year, the license would have to be renewed.
  • After fire safety preparedness with respect to private buildings and public buildings was inspected every six months

Fire safety certificate should be applied for hospitals, schools etc. Following are the some of the things that would be taken into consideration when providing the certificate.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • Any person proposing to construct a high rise building or buildings of public congregation like Malls, schools, cinema halls, function halls, religious places should get Fire safety certificate from the Divisional Fire Officer
  • People need to take preventive measures. It is the responsibility of Industrialists, owners and occupants of multi-storied buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, cracker manufacturers etc. to follow the fire safety norms to ensure safer society.
  • Business premises more than 500 Sq. Meters in plot area or 6 meters and above in height shall apply for a fire safety Certificate.
  • Fire safety certificate will be issued or renewed from the same place where application is received.
NOTE : Establishments which meets the required parameters and running without fire license will have to face legal actions and penalty
