Applicant has to find the local plumbers from the municipal section office. Link for contact: Office link
The plumber will then create an estimate for the connection required.
Applicant has to go to the section office to submit the application obtained from plumber for supply.

Authorities will inspect the premises, prepare the costing for the completion of supply and hand over the application form duly signed by him to the applicant.
Applicant has to make the payment at the municipal corporation office. Once the payment is made, applicant will get a sanction letter.
Once the sanction letter is issued the authorities will start the process to give physical connection of water supply to the applicants residence.

Please use the following link which would take you to the below displayed screen. Please visit the following link : Online Portal. Registered user shall enter their username, password and captcha as per prompt to login by hitting “Login” tab. New user shall use the “citizen registration” option to register and then login.
A new screen will be provided. Please select “KMDA” option under “Development Authority” to get sub option on the right part of the screen. Here select “Online Sanction of Water Connection by KMDA” option to reach next screen.
In the next window, User shall go through the information provided and hit “Apply” tab.
A new screen will be provided. Please complete the page prompt with details for respective sessions and hit “Save & Next” tab.
In continuation of the above steps, user has to complete the permanent address of applicant, Parent or husband details and other details session and hit “Save & Next” tab.
In the next screen user shall go through the details and hit “Attach supporting document” tab.
User shall choose the file as appropriate to upload. Once upload is complete, hit “Save & Next” tab.
Resulting screen provides Application details. Please hit “Submit” tab here to submit application online.
Once all the above steps are completed, user will get acknowledgement for the submission of online application form
User has to pay using the payment pending menu by following the prompts. This application will be processed further. User gets notification about the rest of the process. Please follow the guidelines of the respective authority to get the certificate.

Track Application status

With the given acknowledgement number the applicant can track the status of his request in the e-District portal.
After you login in to e-District, please navigate to get “Track Application” option and enter the acknowledgement number in specified place to get the details.

Payment

After you login in to e-District, please navigate to get “Payment for online sanction of water connection…” option and enter the acknowledgement number in specified place to get the details.
One can pay by using the payment gateway through bank transaction.
Another way is uploading the scanned copy of DD / Chillan for the payment made.

Online sanction letter

After you login in to e-District, please navigate to get “Track Application” option and enter the acknowledgement number in specified place to get the details.
The new page will provide information with Application status is “approved” and a pdf icon besides. Please hit the pdf button to print the sanction letter for connection.
Now the applicant will produce this letter to the section office authorities to do physical procedure for connection.

Apply Online:

To get water connection through online, applicant has to click on the following link Portal link
If you are a new user then click on “New Registration” option
Enter your personal details and click on “Next” button.
Now enter the username and password. Then click on “Next” button.
Now enter the address. Then enter the received OTP in the textbox and click on “Submit” button.
After successful registration, click on “Login” button.
Now enter the credentials and click on “Login” button.
Now user will reach the services page.
Under the section “Development authority”, please select “KMDA” or “ADDA” authority.
For these two authorities only, online service is available.
Select your respective authority and click on the option related to “Online water sanction…”
Read the instructions and click on “Apply” button.
Enter all the mandatory details and click “Save & Next” button.
Then upload the required documents needed.
Kindly submit your application and note down the reference number.
Authorities will process your application and they will intimate through SMS or email.

Apply through Centres:

To apply through centres, the applicant has to approach the respective “CSC” centre in their area. Refer the following link for location: CSC Locator link
- NOTE: The applicant has to select the state, district and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centres.
Please visit the centre and consult with the centre operator for your requirement.
If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
Applicant has to make necessary payment as centre operator quotes and don’t forget to take the receipt.
This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority will issue the order.
The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.

Different steps for getting water supply connection

Contact the Assistant Engineer of the local office of the water supply Department.
List of plumbers will be available from them.
Select a plumber and the plumber will prepare the estimate. The user should apply in the prescribed format and place it before the Assisstant Engineer for sanction.
After sanction ,deposit the amount and get connection.
Fee includes Deposit Money,Water Charges,Connection Fees,road Opening Fees,Road Restoration Fees etc.

One premise is entitled to get one water supply connection.
Building Ferrule size

Upto 1st storied 10 mm
Upto 2nd storied 15 mm
Upto 3rd storied 20 mm
Upto 4th storied and above 25 mm

As climatic changes have affected the ground water level and acute shortage in rainfall has resulted in need of water connection from government water supply.
Applicant has to follow proper application procedure to get this connection.
