Procedure

To apply for the sale of organic fertilizer license the applicant must follow the below procedure.
Apply In-Person

1. Applicant in order to get the license to sell Organic Fertilizer/Bio Fertilizer shall contact the respective “Department of agriculture” for their area in person and apply.
2. Applicant has to get the letter head for the firm and should get required documents as per our page.
3. The contact details are available in the Office Location & Contacts section below.
4. Please collect the appropriate application form from the respective office.
5. Submit the completed application form along with required documents as mentioned in our Required Documents section below.
6. After accepting the application and verifying the same, officials will advise the amount to be remitted as per the mode (treasury challan or as per acceptable norms).
7. Applicant after remitting the mentioned amount should provide the proof of payment (receipt or challan) to the department authority for processing.
8. Applicant will get intimation for inspection of premises.
9. The fertilizer inspector will enter upon and search any premises where the fertilizer is exhibited for sale
10. Once all the results are satisfactory the license is granted by the officials, applicant gets intimation to collect the license.
11. On the said date, applicant can collect the license as per deliverable norms.

• Bank statement
• Product ingredient which are to be formulated.
• NOC from the Local body as appropriate
• NOC from State Pollution Control Board.
• List of Tech Expert with their Qualification

Eligibility

• Any person desiring to sell organic/ Bio fertilizers
• Before granting the license, inspection of the unit is carried out to know the infrastructure in the factory premises and whether the applicant qualifies to get the license as appropriate.
• Education criteria related information for eligibility can be obtained from authorities.
• As per the government direction, traders who want to obtain license to sell fertilizers must have a degree in Agriculture, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Botany or Zoology.

Fees

As the fees structure varies from state to state, licensing officer whom applicant applies with will provide fee details.

Validity

• A license granted under insecticides (Amendment) Act, shall be valid for the period specified therein, May be renewed from time to time for such period and on payment of such fee as may be prescribed.
  
• This license is valid for a period of 3 years from the date of issue.

Need for the Document

Traders should strictly adhere to government classification of fertilizers for different use in agriculture. In order to be eligible for dealing with such classifications, one has to get the appropriate license.
