ProcedureEdit

  1. Land acquisition involves, Acquiring body, the processing body and the land owner. Acquiring body will process the requirement based on the government provision.
  2. Collectorate is responsible for the requisition for acquisition of land for public purpose related to different projects of development is concerned. Assessment of valuation of land on requisition is also governed by the department.

Apply In-Person

  1. Applicant has to approach the respective collector office to make request. This request will be en- rooted to respective authorities and can be accessed by the Thesildhar to processed further.

  4. Applicant should complete the form and enclose the required documents and submit to the collector for that district (in few cases, application has to be made to the “Directorate of Administrative Reforms”).

  6. Along with the application, please make sure you have all the following listed document.
    1. Copy of Land Documents
    2. Copy of recent Encumbrance Certificate
    3. Present Patta
  7. The application will be referred to the Revenue Inspector under the guidance of Thasildhaar. After verification of the application a report will be forwarded to the Taluk Office again.
  8. All the reports will be sent to the respective collectrate.
  9. Collector will issue respective orders based on the report and any enquiries, if required.
  10. The appropriate authorities will work with the process of acquisition of land.

  • Detailed project report
  • Sanction letter of project
  • Three copies of records of rights and revenue maps of the affected areas
  • Information about the classifi cation of land, that is, whether irrigated, multi-cropped, single cropped, wasteland, etc;
  • Any other information required by the Collector.
  • A copy of the request submitted to the Collector under sub-rule (1) shall be submitted to the Commissioner.
  • Where the Requiring Body is the Government, the request shall be filed by the Secretary of the Department
  • concerned and in case of a Public Sector Undertaking, by the Secretary of the Department dealing with such Undertaking
  • Request for acquisition in Form RR-I.
  • Detailed Project Report in Form RR- II.
  • A certificate for administrative sanction for the project for which the land is proposed to be acquired.
  • A certificate by the requiring body in Form RR-III.
  • A certificate to the effect that sufficient provisions of funds in respect to cost of compensation.
  • Duly Filled up Performa.
  • Aadhaar card.
  • Appendix-I (5 copies, village wise).
  • Appendix-II (5 copies village wise).
  • Details of land (5 copies village wise).
  • Copy of recent Encumbrance certificate.
  • Present Patta.
  • Relevant Map on Tracing cloth (5 copies village wise).
  • Relevant Certificate (5 copies village wise).
  • Copy of MOU with the Govt. of state.
  • Copy of proceeding of High Power Committee.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • The Land Acquisition Act, 1894 is a law in India that allows the government to acquire private land in that country.
  • In view of urbanization, Industrialization or development of infrastructural facilities the Union or a state government acquires private land and provides compensation to the affected land owners and their rehabilitation / resettlement
  • RDO is the land acquisition officer. Requisition for the land has to be received from the requisitioning authority.

Information which might helpEdit

Earlier the acquisition for private purposes was limited to 'Private Companies' which are registered under the Companies Act. Now it has been extended to any 'Private Entity' that includes proprietorship, partnership, NGO or any other entity.
