Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. Applicant who want apply for Trade Certificate has to approach RTO office in their area.
2. Please follow our “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page to get details of the RTO offices
3. Application Form-16 should be obtained from the concerned office or can be downloaded from following : Link: Application Form
4. Please make sure you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Fill the application with required information
6. Pay the appropriate fees as per authority’s guidance.
7. Submit the completed application form to the authority where officials would start their process.
8. Upon the satisfaction of the application and document verification, authority will provide you the certificate.
9. Trade certificate consists of registration mark referred to in notification and followed by two letters and a number containing not more than three digits for each vehicle, for example

• AB - Represent State Code.
• 12 - Registration District Code.
• TC1 - Trade certificate number for the vehicle.
  
  

Apply Online (Automated Online Services (AOS))

1. To apply for Trade certificate in online use the following Link: Apply Online
2. Enter all mandatory details such as Type,Name,contact No, email etc in the given page.
3. And also enter GST No, TANNo. and Bank Details
4. You have to choose under “Class of vehicles in respect of which the authorization is issued” and under “Vehicle Manufacturer”
5. Then, you have to hit the “Save” button to complete the process
6. Please go with as per on coming web pages to complete the process.
7. For make the payment, Select mentioned wise
8. Online Transaction>>Registration>>Trade Certificate Transaction

Note: No applicant for trade certificate shall be refused by the registering authority unless the applicant is given an opportunity of being heard and reasons for such refusal are given in writing.
