Apply in person

  1. Fire occurrence certificate will be issued by divisional fire office to the insurance company.
  2. Following link provides contact details: Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Service
  3. Application for this process can be obtained from the office. It need to be submitted after completion along with required details and documents.
  4. This submitted application will be processed internally. The certificate issued will have the details of the fire accident and the calamities or damages.
  5. Insurance companies need this certificate to resolve the claims from the insurer.

  • Fire Service Department issues Fire Occurrence Certificate about a fire incident, to the Insurance Companies for the settlement of insurance claims.
  • The power to issue Fire Occurrence Certificates has been delegated to the Divisional Fire Officers.
  • The application for the same will be made by the Insurance Company directly to the Divisional Fire Officer, who will issue the certificate directly to the Insurance Company.
