Procedure

Apply Online

1. To Apply for AICTE Approval, the applicant has to make their application online via link
2. The applicant has to click the “Web Portal Login” button on the above page.
3. The applicant needs to sign in with the user name and password and click the “Sign In” button.
4. Click on “New Institute Application” and Read the Instructions Carefully.
5. After checking the details Click on “Proceed Further” and again click on “New Institute Application” to create the application for AICTE Approval.
6. Enter all the details in the application form.
7. And upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
8. Pay the prescribed amount fee in online mode.
9. Once completed with all the details click the “Submit” button.
10. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
11. A team from AICTE may conduct a physical inspection of your institution to verify the information provided in the application.
12. All applications are processed within a reasonable time, having regard to the particular circumstances of each application, including the completeness of information and documents submitted to the authority by the applicant.
13. The authority may seek additional information from an applicant if this is necessary to assess the application. The authority does not need to deal further with an application until the applicant has provided this additional information.
14. For new institutions, AICTE will conduct a site visit to verify your institution's readiness and compliance with their norms. Upon successful verification, they may approve.
15. Once the process is completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
16. For further process, the applicant has to follow the instructions given by the officer.
17. This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

1. Ensure that the institution or program continuously complies with the AICTE norms and standards to maintain the approval status.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for AICTE approval in India, the institution must meet the following criteria:

• It must be a society, trust, company, or cooperative society registered under the relevant laws.
• It must have a valid land use certificate and building plan approval from the concerned authorities.
• It must have adequate infrastructure, including classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and workshops.
