ProcedureEdit

Apply in Person

  1. To Obtain Caste Certificate, the applicant has to approach the Concerned Tehsildar office on their respective district link
    • Note: The applicant has to select their respective state and district from the given link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer or the applicant can download the application form from the following link
    • SC AND BC Application form link
    • ST Application form- link
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee of Rs 15 to the concerned officer.
  8. The concerned Tehsildar, who is the competent authority for the processing of the application, will assign the subordinates for Field level enquiry.
  9. Based on the Report, the Tehsildar will either approve or reject the request.
  10. The processing time of this procedure completes within 15 days.

  1. To Obtain Caste Certificate, the applicant has to approach the Meeseva Centres on their respective district link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer or the applicant can download the application form from the following link

    • ST Application form- link
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.

EligibilityEdit

  • Applicant must belong to reserved category as Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other backward Community.
  • Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
  • Applicant must be residing in state Andhra Pradesh.
  • Applicant should complete age of 3 years to apply for community certificate.
Note : Please check all eligibility criteria then also check list of documents required for applying for community certificate.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • Community Certificate is also known as caste certificate. Community certificate is a legal proof of community that the person to whom it is being issued belongs to reserved community like scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and other backward classes.
  • Caste certificate is an important certificate to avail certain benefits provided by Government for the socially backward communities in education and employment opportunities for their betterment.
  • Students especially require the caste certificates to secure their seat in institution
  • This is valid for securing admission in all Educational Institutions and other professional institutions and also for employment.



Information which might helpEdit

  • This certificate can be used for several years.
  • An individual cannot change his / her caste once he/she issued the caste certificate. However, while converting into another religion, the class may change necessitating a new caste/community certificate.
NOTE : It is a punishable offense to try with fraudulent documents to get a community certificate
