Apply In-Person:
- In order to apply for No Male Child Certificate, the applicant has to approach their concerned revenue department office.
- Please go to their respective tahsildar office.
- Link for the office contact details: link for district Select district option from the left part of the screen. In the given page please select the name of the district to reach the respective district page. Here select the hyperlink for respective portal. In the district portal please select “DIRECTORY>PUBLIC UTILITIES>Municipalities “ or “DIRECTORY >Contact Directory” or “ABOUT DISTRICT>ADMINISTRATIVE SETUP> Revenue Administration” option for contact details.
- Go to the respective office. Consult with the designated authority about the applying procedure for this certificate. Collect the application form or write on a plain A4 sheet as advised.
- Complete the application form. Attach the entire required document as per our “Required Documents” section and submit it to the designated receiving authority.
- After receiving the application, authorities will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place the application will be accepted with applicable fees as appropriate.
- Authorities will make entries about this application in the manual record or electronically using computer.
- Acknowledgement receipt will be given against every application form received. So, collect it and please keep it safe for future reference.
- Applicant will be informed of the probable date of collecting the certificate.
- Designated authority will forward the application to the concerned Circle Officer / Village officer / designated authority for his report.
- The Circle Officer / Village officer / designated authority will verify the applicant’s details. After verification of the facts the report from the authorities will be sent back to the issuing authority.
- Based on the outcome of the above report and other internal processing, the issuing authority will make a decision.
- The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
- If approved, the certificate will be hand delivered or sent through post to the address mentioned while applying or issued as per applicable norms.
Apply online - e-Sevai Services for Citizen
- Use the following link to e-sevai portal to apply income certificate. Link:E-sevai
- In the given page please enter the login credentials as appropriate at the given prompt and click “Login” button to login.
- If you are a new user, then select “New User? SignUp here” option under login to reach register page. Please complete the registration prompt as appropriate and click “Sign Up” button register and then login to apply.
- Applicant will reach the online dashboard. Please click on Services on the left panel and choose “Revenue Department” option.
- From the list of services please select “REV-119 No Male Child Certificate.” service.
- Applicant will be redirected to the service page on the Tamil Nadu e-District Web Portal. Please click on “Proceed” button to continue.
- If the “CAN Number” is not obtained then use the e ‘Click here’ link to apply for CAN Registration and then come back to the previous step.
- In the next page please complete the prompt as appropriate.
- Please use the “Upload” button to get document upload page. Please upload the required document at the prompted space and click “Back” button.
- In the page applicant shall select “Make Payment” button to get payment page. Please follow the page and hit “Confirm Payment” button to submit the application online.
- A computer generated acknowledgement will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
- This application will be processed further.
- Designated authority will forward the application to the concerned Circle Officer / Village officer / Revenue inspector / designated authority for his report.
- The Circle Officer / Village officer / Revenue inspector / designated authority will verify the applicant’s details. After verification of the facts the report from the authorities will be sent back to the issuing authority.

- The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
- If approved, the certificate will be hand delivered or sent through post to the address mentioned while applying or issued as per applicable norms.
- Note:
- Applicant has to bring original documents to the applying office while applying for cross verification purpose and scanning if required.
- Without cross signature on photograph and signature on undertaking, the application will be rejected
- Certificate will be dispatched or handed over directly as per the request made while applying by the applicant. Mostly handover in office will be in practice to get counter signature from the applicant for the delivered certificate.
- Applicant has to bring original documents to the applying office while applying for cross verification purpose and scanning if required.

EligibilityEdit
- Parents with one/two female children (or specified by the state government) and no male child are eligible to apply for this certificate.
- Parents must possess sterilization certificate.
