ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for a mortgage in Sikkim, it is mandatory to show a non-encumbrance certificate.
  2. To apply for said certificate you will have to approach the nearest District collector’s office.
  3. Here is the link to find the nearest DCO office: showing the location of various Government Infrastructures and Units/district-collector-and-sub-divisional-magistrate-offices DCo office
  4. You will have to submit an application form with details such as your name, details about the land and the office.
  5. Submit relevant documents as mentioned in the “required documents” section of this page.
  6. You will have to make a payment, once you do this the application will be forwarded to the concerned authorities.
  7. Once the application has been approved, you will receive an SMS.
  8. You can collect the certificate in front the DCO’s office by providing your application number.


Apply Online

  1. Currently, there is no online service to apply for a non-encumbrance certificate in Sikkim.
