ProcedureEdit

Apply Online:

  1. To Apply for UMID or SSS ID, the applicant has to make the application online via the following link
  2. The applicant has to click “log in” and click “Register” from the drop-down menu.
  3. Applicant has to Select Type of User. Now three Validation fields will be displayed for input
  4. PF Number (It has to be 11-digit Alphanumeric code)
  5. PAN (It has to be 10-digit Alpha Numeric code)
  6. Date of Birth (It has to be in DD-MM-YYYY format)
  7. After entering the particulars, the employee has to click on “Validate Details” button
  8. Now the Name of the employee associated with the validated particulars will be displayed for confirmation.
  9. If details are matched, the employee can proceed to Register Mobile Number.
  10. OTP will be sent on the provided mobile number which has to be fed to Verify OTP.
  11. After confirmation of OTP, the system will prompt for setting password.
  12. Now the Employee is ready to LOG-IN with PF Number as User ID & Password as set in the Registration process.
  13. Next the applicant has to login with their user id and password. Click on the UMID (Employee) Tab on the Dashboard.
  14. Now the Side-bar MENU will be available for view on the left side. The applicant will find 4 items in the Menu for navigation:
  15. DASHBOARD (To view the employee Basic particulars fetched from backend database).
  16. INITIATE APPLICATION (To start the Application process).
  17. "MY APPLICATION STATUS" (To track the status of the application after it has been submitted).
  18. "VIEW/DOWNLOAD MEDICAL CARDS" (To view the cards after they are generated).
  19. The applicant has to click “Initiate Application” and start filling application form.
  20. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  21. After adding all the particulars successfully, the employee has to check the DECLARATION that the details are correct and the form can be SUBMITTED.
  22. Now the form is submitted and the status of the application can be tracked under “MY APPLICATION STATUS” in the Menu.
  23. To download UMID card go to menu Sidebar and Click on “View/Download Medical Cards” All the medical cards of the eligible family members including employee will be displayed on the dashboard.
  24. They can be saved in Mobile (or) Print on Paper/Card (or) Print only the QR Code.
  25. The fee for this procedure is free of cost.
  26. This entire process can be completed within 7- 10 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

  • Old Medical ID card of employee OR Pass/PTO declaration with Supervisor signature & Stamp
  • ID proof of all individual dependents


Note: All documents to be scanned in JPEG/JPG/PNG format for advanced preparedness to initiate the application in a full-fledged manner.

EligibilityEdit

  • The applicant should be a railway employee or a dependent of a railway employee.
  • The employee should be registered with the Indian Railways Medical Department (IRMS) and should have completed at least one year of service.
  • The dependent should be the spouse, unmarried daughter or son below the age of 21 years, or son below the age of 25 years who is a student.
  • The dependent should be residing with the railway employee.
  • The dependent should not be a railway employee.

  • UMID is a smart health card system in Indian Railways. It helps in providing Unique Identity to all medical beneficiaries individually through a unique number as a perpetual entity. This Unique Identity is further strengthened with unique smart feature of web-enabled QR code and Biometric identity with common database at all India level, this web and mobile application helps in identifying medical beneficiaries across all health units spanning all across Indian Railways.
