Procedure

Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to severe and multi-disabled persons who are living below poverty line.
Apply In-Person:
central government scheme - Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme

1. To apply for this scheme, the eligible person has to submit two copies of duly filled application form along with required documents to the concerned Block Development Officer (BDO).
2. Link for contact details : Link. Click on the “Contact Details” menu and then the “Development Officers” option to view the contact details.
3. Obtain the application form from the respective counter OR write on a plain paper OR download using the following link. link please select the hyperlink under disability pension session as per requirement for application form.
4. After scrutiny, the application is forwarded by the BDO to the respective authority for approval
5. Following the approval, the approval letter is dispatched to the respective Post Office of the applicant or bank, where a savings account is opened in the name of the beneficiary for making the payments.
6. In case of rejection of application, the applicant is duly informed.

Through emitra kiosk - central government scheme - Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme

1. To apply for this scheme, the eligible person has to submit two copies of duly filled application form along with required documents at the emitra kiosk
2. Link for contact details : link locate the kiosk by completing the prompt.
3. Obtain the application form from the respective counter OR write on a plain paper OR download using the following link. link please select the hyperlink under disability pension session as per requirement for application form.
4. After scrutiny, the application is forwarded to verification (thasildhar/nagar palika).
5. Once verified, this will be sanctioned by SDO/BDO and sent to disbursement authority (treasury/sub treasury office)
6. Following the approval, the approval letter is dispatched to the respective Post Office of the applicant or bank, where a savings account is opened in the name of the beneficiary for making the payments.
7. In case of rejection of application, the applicant is duly informed.

State government scheme

1. Applicant shall apply two copies of duly filled application form along with required documents to the Block Development Officer/Thasildhar at rural level and District Social Welfare Officer at urabn level.

3. Obtain the application form from the respective counter OR write on a plain paper
4. This application will be processed further.
5. Following the approval, the approval letter is dispatched to the respective Post Office of the applicant or bank, where a savings account is opened in the name of the beneficiary for making the payments.
6. In case of rejection of application, the applicant is duly informed.

• Signature/Thumb impression of the patient countersigned by the Medial Superintendent/CMO/Head of Hospital (with seal)
• Proof of Age
• Recent attested photograph showing the disability affixed here.
• Domicile certificate as per requirement
• Three passport size photographs of the applicant.
• Aadhaar card.
• Bank account details
• Mobile number.
• Passport size photograph of applicant (please take 5 copies).
• Any other document to claim benefits offered by respective state government as advised by authorities.

Eligibility

• For state assistance
  • Person with disability should be unemployed.
  • Family annual income for rural area should be less than Rs 14000/-(now increased up to Rs 48000 per anum) and for urban area is less than Rs 16000/-( now increased up to Rs 60000 per anum)
  • Resident of the state
• For central assistance
  • Person should come under BPL category
  • Those who have multiple disabilities or more than 80% disabilities.
  • Age group of 18-79 years

• Applicant should be a citizen of India

Fees

Service is free.

Validity

• As per the age limit prescribed by the central government scheme.
• Age limit for state level scheme will be notified by respective authorities.

Need for the Document

• Disabled (with acceptable percentage) applicant shall apply to avail this pension.
• Persons with Disabilities are provided with financial aid from the state government.
• Disability certificate should be obtained from the respective hospital as applicable
