Procedure

Apply Online:

1. To Apply for Trade License, the applicant has to make the application online via link
2. The applicant has to click the “Login” button.
3. From the following login, the applicant has to select the citizen option.
4. If the applicant is a new user, the applicant has to click the “REGISTER” button.
5. Enter all the details and click “Continue” button.
6. The applicant will receive OTP from the given mobile number.
7. Enter the OTP and click the “Continue” button.
8. The applicant has to select the option Trade License from the list.
9. The applicant has to click the “Apply” button to start the process.
10. Enter all the details and click the “Next Step” button.
11. Also, upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
12. Now the applicant has to click the “Pay” option button for the payment.
13. Pay the prescribed fee in online mode.
14. Also, the applicant download the receipt by clicking the “DOWNLOAD AND VIEW RECEIPT” button.
15. Once all the verification is over, the applicant will be notified to download the license.
16. This entire process can be completed within 15 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Apply Online Invest Odisha:

1. To Apply for Trade License, the applicant has to make the application online via link

3. If the applicant is a new user, the applicant has to click the “Register Now” button.
4. Enter all the details in the application form and upload the ID proof click the “Next” button.
5. The applicant will receive the OTP from the given mobile number.
6. Enter the OTP and click the “Submit” button.
7. The applicant will receive the notification popup for successful registration.
8. Now, the applicant has to click the “Login” option.
9. Enter the user ID and password with the captcha code and click the “Login” option.
10. The applicant has to select the option Trade License from the list.
11. Enter all the details and click the “Next Step” button.
12. Also, upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
13. Now the applicant has to click the “Pay” option button for the payment.
14. Pay the prescribed fee in online mode.
15. Also, the applicant download the receipt by clicking the “DOWNLOAD AND VIEW RECEIPT” button.
16. Once all the verification is over, the applicant will be notified to download the license.
17. This entire process can be completed within 15 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Apply In-Person:

1. Applicant has to submit an application addressed to the Licensing authority of the concerned municipal corporation/municipality where the business is proposed.

   Note: Please select the district name to reach district portal. In the given page, select menu option “ABOUT DISTRICT > Who’s Who” OR “DIRECTORY > PUBLIC UTILITIES > Municipalities” for respective contact details.

3. Go to the respective office.
4. Meet the respective authority at the licensing department of the Municipal Corporation / Municipality office. Applicant shall get the advice from the authority to be followed to apply for the respective trade.
5. Collect the applicable application form or write on a plain A4 paper as per advice.
6. Submit the completed application form along with required document as per our page.
7. Authorities will check the submitted application and announce the fees / charges. Please pay and get the receipt.
8. This application will be moved to the respective authority of the Zone for field verification of site.
9. After field verification, authority will submit verification report before the trade licence committee.
10. If the Trade license committee observes that all norms are complied with by the applicant, authorities will issue order to make applicable payment.
11. Applicant shall make the payment as advised.
12. After all the above steps, applicant gets notification from the department. Please follow the notification to get the license.
13. If the Trade license committee observes that all norms are not complied with by the applicant, the application by rejected.

• It is advised to submit additional set of copy of the documents and get counter signed for your safety while applying with government department..
• Visit your nearest or a running trade in your region and consult with them for any latest update requirements.

Apply through CSC:

1. To Apply for Trade License, the applicant has to approach the nearest CSC centre link

   Note: The applicant has to select a state, district, and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centres.

2. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
3. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
5. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
6. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
7. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
8. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
9. This application will be moved to the respective authority of the Zone for field verification of the site.
10. After field verification, the authority will submit a verification report before the trade license committee.
11. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
12. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
13. The applicant will get a license by visiting the center.
14. This entire process can be completed within 3 – 4 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
