ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for the Adoption of Zoo Animal in Andhra Pradesh, the applicant has to approach the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, Visakhapatnam.
  2. The address related to the Zoo in Andhra Pradesh can be obtained from the “Office Locations and Contacts” Section of this page. Contact Link
  3. After visiting the office, applicant has to approach the authority who is in charge of Animal adoption.
  4. Obtain the form from the authority in charge/respective counter.
  5. Submit the form to the Zoo office after completion.
  6. Pay the appropriate fees at the counter in cash/cheque/DD.
  7. Collect the certificate of adoption from the Zoo authority.

  1. To apply for adoption, the applicant can visit their official website or follow the Link
  2. Enter the necessary details, select the animal and time periodof adoption.
  3. After filling the necessary details, then click on “Pay” button.
  4. The payment can be made through online mode.
  5. Once the payment is successfully done, you will get a confirmation SMS or email.
  6. You will soon receive an Adoption certificate along with other perks.

Privileges of Adopting a Zoo Animal:

  • The adoption fee is eligible for Income Tax deduction under section 80G of the IT Act, 1961.
  • Once the applicant has successfully adopted an Animal, the Zoo authorities will regularly send short videos and updates on the Animal.
  • Official Certificate of Adoption.
  • Donors above 10,000 INR will have their name etched onto the enclosure for the animal, receive free entry once a year (5 person) and official merchandises like t-shirt, cap etc.
