ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. Applicant shall apply with their respective labour office of the registering officer of the area in which the establishment sought to be registered is located.
  2. Applicant must satisfy the criteria as listed in the eligibility section below.
  3. Go to the respective office.

  5. Consult with the designated authority. Obtain the application form or write on an A4 sheet as advised. Applicant shall get the information from the respective department website too.
  6. Once the check list of information is ready, prepare all the requirements as guided. Complete the application form. Attach the required documents. Please refer our required document section.
  7. Submit or post the completed application form along with required documents and prescribed fees as applicable to the designated authority.
  8. Submitted application will be verified by the authorities. If all are in place, applicant will be provided with acknowledgement for the submitted application.
  9. This application will be processed internally.
  10. Applicant gets notification about the process through their registered mobile number.
  11. Department authorities will verify the documents, Inspect the premises and clarify their queries.
  12. If the application is found to be correct in all respect then a Contract Labour License is issued to the applicant.
  13. This certificate shall be hand delivered or sent through post as per applicable norms.


Apply Online

  1. Go to the online portal: online portal
  2. In the given page Enter your login Id, Password and hit “Login” button.
  3. If you are a new user then use “Create Employer User Profile” option to register and then login.
  4. In the next page please select the service for contract labour license.
  5. Select “new license” fill the online form and submit using applicable button.
  6. Applicant will get the application Id.
  7. Now open the application using application id
  8. Now applicant shall upload document based on onscreen status and instruction.
  9. Upload the documents and click upload document at the bottom.
  10. Now the screen will prompt user to make payment.
  11. Click on pay the fees on right side button and choose the option of payment and make payment.
  12. Once the payment is complete, applicant shall save the resulting acknowledgement for future reference
  13. Applicant shall check their application status regularly and provide details or documents as instructed.
  14. After scrutiny by the designated authority, verification of the documents, Inspection of the premises and clarify their queries.
  15. The Application along with report will be forwarded to the issuing authority concerned.
  16. If the applications is found to be correct, applicant will get notification about the sanction through SMS in their registered mobile number.
  17. This certificate shall be hand delivered or sent through post as per applicable norms or can be downloaded online.
Note:
  • Make sure to keep the “First-Aid Facilities” in the premises during inspection.
  • It is advised to submit additional set of copy of the documents and get counter signed for your safety while applying with government department.


Apply Online (Through Aaplesarkar Portal)

  1. To Obtain Contract Labour Licence for Contractor for Artist under Reserved Quota, the applicant can make the application via Aaplesarkar Portal by using the following link link
  2. The applicant has to enter the user ID and password and click “Login Now. If the applicant doesn’t have an account the applicant can click on “Register Now” and register an account.
  3. Then the applicant has to click the “labour Department” menu and select “Contract Labour Licence for Contractor” and read the instruction and click “Apply”.
  4. Next Select Registration – Form, fill out the online form, and submit.
  5. The applicant will get the application Id and the application screen will be closed.
  6. Open the application submitting application id and see the status of the application and the instruction given on the right side of the screen.
  7. If Status is uploaded document, then click upload the documents on right side instructions.
  8. By Clicking on the documents which want to upload browse will appear and upload all the required documents with the above same procedure.
  9. Then Click upload document at the bottom and see the status again which will show for payment.
  10. Click on pay the fees on the right-side button and choose the option of payment and make payment.
  11. Check the status it will show "under scrutiny" which means your application is on the desk for scrutiny check the status regularly, either it is "approved” or "rejected”.

Apply Through Mobile App

  1. To Obtain Contract Labour Licence for Contractor, the applicant can make the application via RTS Maharashtra app link
  2. After installing the app, click on “Getting Started” and “select language” to start the application.
  3. Then the applicant has to click the “Labour” menu and select “Contract Labour Licence for Contractor” and read the instruction and click “Apply”.
  4. Next the applicant has to enter the user ID and password and click “Login Now. If the applicant doesn’t have an account the applicant can click on “Register Now” and register an account.
  5. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  6. Make sure that the applicant has to upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  7. Review the application and click “Submit”
  8. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
  9. An acknowledgment receipt will be displayed. Please save it for future reference, it contains the application summary and contact details of the person to be contacted.
  10. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  11. The applicant can check the status of the application by clicking on “Track” menu by entering the department and application ID.

  • A copy of the Trade license issued by the local authorities.
  • Address Proof (Aadhaar/voter ID/Driving license)
  • Proof of date of Birth.
  • A copy of the Registered Partnership Deed (for a partnership firm/establishment).
  • The original copies of the Treasury Challan depositing the requisite amount of fees as security and the license fees in the specified Head of Account in the Govt. treasury or through the "e-Payment" when it is notified and functioning as per norms.
  • Form of Certificate by principal employer- Form V
  • No objection certificate from police department/Police Report.
  • Copy of the agreement between the Principal Employer & Contractor.
  • Self-Affidavit as advised
  • PAN Card
  • Aadhaar card

EligibilityEdit

  • If the entrepreneur/applicant engages advised number or more contractual workers in the contractual work are eligible.
  • An Individual or a firm shall apply
  • Applicant should be a major
  • Applicant should not be convicted (at any time during a period of five years immediately preceding the date of application)


FeesEdit

Security deposit as advised by authorities for each workman to be employed as contract labour shall be deposited.

ValidityEdit

Every licence granted is valid for twelve months from the date it is granted.

InstructionsEdit

  • The licence is non-transferable.
  • The number of workmen employed as contract labour in the establishment shall not on any day, exceed the mentioned numbers as per application.
  • The fees paid for the grant of the licence shall be non-refundable.
  • The rates of wages payable to the workmen by the contractor shall not be less than the rates prescribed for the schedule of employment under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, where applicable, and where the rates have been fixed by agreement/ settlement or award, not less than the rates fixed.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • This license is required for the employment of contract labour in certain establishment.
  • To every contractor who employs or who employed on any day of the preceding twelve months ten or more workmen then they need to get this license.
  • In order to bid for the government work where the labour license is pre requisite, then the firm need to obtain this license.
