Apply Online:

  1. To Create account with DigiLocker, the applicant has to make the application online via following link
  2. The applicant has to click “Sign Up” to create an account.
  3. On the next page the applicant has to enter the Name, Date of Birth, mobile number, PIN, email and Aadhar number.
  4. After entering all the details, the applicant has to click “Submit” button.
  5. Then the applicant has to enter an OTP (One Time Password) which is sent to their mobile number and click “Submit”
  6. Next the applicant has to set their username and click “Submit”.
  7. A pop will be displayed and indicates successful completion of account.
  8. Then the applicant can click Sign In and enter username and password to avail the service.
  9. There is no fee for creating account in Digi Locker.
  10. The entire process can be completed within 10 – 15 minutes.

  1. To Create account with DigiLocker, the applicant has to install the mobile app by using the following link
  2. The applicant has to select their preferred language and click “Get Started”
  3. Next the applicant has to click “Create Account”.

Sections in Digi Locker:

  • Home – This is the home screen of your Digi Locker account, from where you can navigate to other sections of Digi Locker. This also shows summary of issued documents and a link to get documents from partners integrated with Digi Locker.
  • Issued Documents – This section shows list of URIs (links) of digital documents or certificates issued by the Govt. departments or agencies integrated with Digi Locker.
  • Digi Locker Drive – This section shows all the documents which are uploaded by you. You can update the document type and share these uploaded documents.
  • Activity – This section keeps log of all the activities performed by you in Digi Locker account. The log includes the details about activities such as file upload, download, share, etc.
  • Browse Documents – This section provides the lists of departments and agencies that are registered with Digi Locker as Issuers. If these departments have issued any document/certificate to you, it will appear in the form of a URI (link) in your Issued Documents section.
