- To add or delete name ration card, the applicant has to use the following link
- Applicant has to click “sign in/register” button on the top right side of the page.
- Now applicant has to click “public login” option.
- If the applicant is a new user, the applicant has to click the “New user sign in here” button.
- The applicant has to enter all the details for the registration process.
- After completing the details click the “Submit” button.
- The applicant will receive the username and password by the registered email ID.
- Now the applicant has to log in with the username and password and click the “Login” button.
- The applicant has to select the form from the menu list.
- Enter all the details in the application form.
- And upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Pay the prescribed amount fee in online mode. If this is mention.
- Once completed with all the details click the “Submit” button.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- All applications are processed within a reasonable time, having regard to the particular circumstances of each application, including the completeness of information and documents submitted to the authority by the applicant.
- The authority may seek additional information from an applicant if this is necessary to assess the application. The authority does not need to deal further with an application until the applicant has provided this additional information.
- Once the process is completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
- For further process, the applicant has to follow the instructions given by the officer.
- Collect the updated ration card from the respective centre in a stipulated period of time or wait for it to arrive via post to the address mentioned while applying or issued as per the applicable norms within 60 days.
Apply In-Person :
- To add or delete name in ration card, the applicant has to approach the respective Rationing Office of his area /At the district & Thasil levels, the District Supply Officer and the Tahsildar link and link
- Applicant shall obtain the form from the respective office (please pay for the form if required) Or a written/electronically typed application on A4 plain sheet as advised shall be used.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
- Authorities after checking the submitted application along with attached documents will make entries and provide you record number for reference.
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
- An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
- This application will be forwarded to the concerned Ward/ Grama Panchayath official for verification. The concerned official visits the house of the applicant for verification and approves the request, if the applicant is found eligible.
- The applicant is informed through SMS at various stages i.e., Advance intimation about date of visit of the official to his place of residence for verification of his application, #Approval/Rejection of his application.
- After ground level verification ration card will be issued in 2 – 3 weeks or as notified by the department
Apply Through Centres:
- To apply through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre/sewa kendra. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
- Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- An application form can be obtained through the kiosk operator upon visiting the centre.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
- Submit the application form with “Required Documents” to the office. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
- The operator will process the application online.
- On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
- Pay the fee as given in the “Fees” section of this page and collect the receipt.
- An ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
- Upon the satisfaction of the authorities, the permission will be granted according to the application.

- A valid ration card holder.
- The applicant and his/her family must be Indian citizens and should be resident of the state.
- The applicant or his family members must not possess any family card in any State in India (If they had one, it has to be withdrawn).
- The applicant and members of the family must be close relatives.
