Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Approach the ELECTRICITY DEPARTMENT - ANDAMAN & NICOBAR ADMINISTRATION, and collect the Application form.
2. Refer to the “Office Locations & Contacts” section in this procedure to see the respective address and contact details Contact Link
3. You can also download an appropriate form from this link.
4. Fill in the form and submit it at the respective office along with the required documents.
5. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
6. The applicant will be contacted by respective officer /Call Centre Representative on email/mobile provided by you for verification.
7. Once verification and payment procedures are successful, connection will be effected according to consumer’s application.

Apply Online:

1. To apply for Temporary Electricity Supply in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the applicant has to follow the provided Link.
2. In the online services section on the webpage, click on the "Apply For Fresh(New) Meter" and proceed.
3. A new page will open up for Online Application for Electric Connection (EC).
4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form.
5. Select "Type of connection", and click on "Temporary Connection Domestic" or "Temporary Connection Commercial" as required in the field under "Category of Connection".
6. After providing all the necessary details as instructed, click on the declaration box and then on the "Proceed" option to process further.
7. Now, upload scanned copy of supporting documents as displayed on the screen such as Record of Right/Form F (if own building/Legal Heir/Joint Property), Rent/Lease Agreement (in case of rented/ leased accommodation), NOC from the owner (in case of rented/leased accommodation), Affidavit for Obtaining Electric Connection (in case of Encroached Land), Tribal Council Certificate (in case of Tribal Area), Quarter Allotment Order (in case of Govt. Quarter) along with a copy of Aadhar Card/Photo Id Address Proof.
8. Click on the "Submit" button on the webpage and complete the process.
9. On successful completion, a Unique Application Number will be generated which shall be downloaded and kept for future reference.
10. The applicant may use the Unique Application Number to track the application status online.
11. The Department will verify the application & approve it online based on which sanction order will be generated by the portal.

Processing Time

The date of availing the temporary supply can got amended by the consumer, by applying to the authority who has issued the orders before the commencement date indicated in the order. However, any alternate date proposed shall commence within 15 days of the date of the first order.
