Procedure

The unemployed eligible disabled candidates registered with employment offices are eligible to apply for this allowance.
Apply In-Person:

1. The applicant may contact the concerned village panchayat to apply.

3. Obtain the application form from the respective counter OR write on a plain paper
4. A duly completed application form or written application along with required documents may be sent by post or delivered personally to the officer in charge of concerned panchayat office.
5. The submitted application form and documents will be verified. If all are OK, authority will process the application and provide you with the receipt.Please keep it safe for future requirement.
6. The chairperson will forward this application to the concerned employment office for further processing.
7. Once approved, the amount gets credited in the bank account of the candidate.

Required Documents

• Application form.
• Three specimen signatures, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer.
• Domicile certificate issued by a competent authority (As applicable)
• An affidavit duly attested by a Magistrate/ Oath Commissioner in support of his/her claim for unemployment allowance.
• A medical certificate from Medical Officer of Government hospital/ dispensary (to be furnished duly by blind, deaf and dumb &ortho applicants registered with the special Employment Exchange for Physically Handicapped persons, as applicable)
• Three passport size photographs of the applicant.
• Aadhaar card.
• Bank account details.
• Mobile number.
• Passport size photograph of applicant (please take 5 copies).
• Certificate to prove the place of residence.
• Certificate to prove age.
• Certificate to prove caste, if they belong to reservation communities.
• In case of disabled persons, Medical Certificates to prove Disability.
• Any other document to claim benefits offered by respective state government as advised by authorities.

Note : Please show above mentioned documents in original and attested copies thereof (to be submitted) at the time of applying.

Eligibility

• Applicant must have completed 18 years of age and not exceeded 40 years as on date of application
• The minimum degree of disability shall be 40%
• Medical certificate certifying the disability from the designated medical board.
• Resident of Lakshadweep.
• Should be an employment exchange registered candidate for a period of 2 years.
• Applicant shall not be in receipt of any other regular monitory assistance.

Fees

Service is free.

Validity

• Renewable annually
• Valid till age of 40 years if unemployed

   • An affidavit duly attested by a Magistrate/ Oath Commissioner in support of his/her claim for unemployment allowance.
   • A Medical Certificate from Medical Officer of Government Hospital/ Dispensary
   • A certificate of being of state Origin (To be furnished by blind, deaf and dumb applicants only).
   • Three passport size photographs of the applicant, “dully attested by a Gazetted Officer”.

The eligible unemployed candidate who has registered with employment exchange can apply for this procedure.

Need for the Document

• The Departments of Employment in various States of India allow unemployed educated youth residing in the respective States to pre-register for impending job vacancies occurring in different sectors of that State.
• Those who are registered with employment exchange and not provided employment are provided with allowance.
• Candidates who possess educational qualifications other than those of professional and executive standards can register their educational qualifications with the respective Employment Exchanges in their districts

• Whenever government vacancies are announced, list of registered members with suitable educational profiles are forwarded to respective employers for consideration.
