ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. The applicant shall approach the respective Tahsildar / Tehsil office as appropriate to apply for public entertainment licence.

  3. Please visit the respective office and consult with the designated authority. The authorities will provide the details and the procedure which the applicant needs to follow to get the licence / permission.
  4. The applicant shall collect the application form or write on a plain A4 sheet as advised.
  5. Please complete the application form with the mandatory details. Attach the document as per the “Required Documents” section of this page and submit it to the designated receiving authority as advised.
  6. After receiving the application, authorities will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted. Please pay the applicable fee as appropriate.
  7. Please refer to the “Fees” section of this page for more details on fee requirements.
  8. The authorities will make entries about this application in the manual record or electronically using the computer.#An acknowledgement receipt will be given against every form received. Please collect it and keep it safe for future reference.
  9. Applicant will be informed of the probable date of getting the approval.
  10. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile.
  11. This application will be processed further. The application, documents and details will be scrutinized by the department. The applicants are advised to follow the department’s notification.
  12. On a scheduled date, the department will conduct a site inspection to make sure that the place doesn’t fall under any reserved/prohibited area for such events. The authorities will also check the premises to make sure that the premises have the required infrastructure, facility and requirements as per norms.
  13. Once the inspection is completed, the inspection report along with remarks and recommendation will be forwarded to the concerned authority for approval.
  14. The issuing authority will evaluate the application supported by the inspection report and recommendations. Once the authority approves, the permit/licence will be sanctioned.
  15. The status, viz. Approval will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or by post or as per applicable norms.
  16. The applicant shall visit the respective office as notified and follow the authorities guidelines to get the licence.
  17. The licence will be delivered to the office address mentioned on the application through post or hand-delivered as notified, or it will be delivered as per applicable norms.
  18. The whole process can be completed within 15 days or as per the timeline provided by the authorities.

  • Rent/lease agreement, if the premises is rented / leased one
  • ”NOC” from the landlord
  • ”GST” registration certificate in the name of the establishment
  • ”PAN” of the proprietor/company/firm/individual
  • Attested copy of permission letter and rent payment receipt if the premises is government owned
  • Attested copy of municipal tax receipt
  • NOC from the PWD or the department concerned regarding structure suitable for temporary tent, stage program in open space
  • Competency certificate from the concerned bodies with respect to the event category
  • Opinion of the concerned police station
  • Prescribed court fee stamp
  • Affidavit on stamp paper of Rs 10/- (or as per the advised amount) by the applicant duly notarized
  • Water bill paid receipt for the premises as per requirement
  • Sanitary certificate from health inspector if available
  • Aadhaar card

EligibilityEdit

  • Any person desiring to organize a public performance shall apply.
  • The applicant should be a citizen of India.
  • Those who are 18 years and above are eligible to apply.
  • If the applicant is an organization, then it should be a registered one.
  • The applicant should make sure that the infrastructure is set as per the safety norms of the respective state government.

  • The venue should have a safe and regular drinking water arrangement.
  • A first aid kit should be readily available.
  • Do not submit fake documents as a proof to get the licence.
