ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. To request for a new street light, please visit the Municipal Corporation/ Village Panchayat/ town Municipality Office of your respective area.
  2. Visit the Office and get the Application form for new street light from the relevant department or you can write a requisition letter on plain A4 sheet.
  3. Please fill the application with essential information and details and it should be attested with the applicant’s signature and signature of at least 20 people residing in the street.
  4. Make sure that you have all the documents that are listed in “Required Documents” section of this page. Attach all the important documents mentioned.
  5. Then, it should be submitted to the relevant authority. Also pay the required fees for the application process at the office as directed by the officials. Please collect the acknowledgement slip for paid fee. Keep it safe for future reference.
  6. And your application and attached documents will be passed for verification to check if there is any discrepancy.
  7. The officials will inform you the initiation process by any applicable means, once the government approve the request. After all the processes are completed, concerned officials will approve the request and proceed with setting up the new street light in your area.
  8. The process to set up a new street light will take at least 30 days.
