Karnataka - Obtain a Liquor Posession Permit

Apply in person

One need to apply for a license to the State Excise Department.

Go to the license issuing authority of your area to do the preliminary round of discussion for the area you wanted to obtain the license. If the area proposed is accepted, then the applicant can start his work.
Applicant shall apply to the issuing authority after the required document and fees requirement are in place.
Please follow as per the authorities advice on application process. Their might be a format to apply or can be a written one.
Once the application is received, authorities will verify the details and inform about the successive steps.
Inspection of place, if required will be done through police department and announcement the fee to be paid will also be informed. Applicant has to pay the fees as advice.
After all the formalities are successful, applicant will be informed to collect the license. Collect the license from the authorities.

As per government policy, Liquor is sold / served with provision of certificate and licensing. On demand for a temporary need one can avail liquor possession permit for the place he / she needs to serve.
