Procedure

Apply In Person:

1. The license/permission for demolishing any building is provided by the concerned authorities in the Municipal Corporation. Contacts
2. The application form has to be obtained from the authorities in the respective district Municipal Corporation.
3. The prescribed application form for building demolition is Form II.
4. The application form has to be handwritten by the person/owner/agent applying for demolition purposes.
5. The application form has to be submitted along with the required documents prescribed by the authorities.
6. Make sure that you have all the documents which are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
7. The fee estimation will be provided by the authorities based on the building type and its location.
8. Before the demolition, the owner has to make sure to disconnect the supplies to the building such as
   • Water Supply
   • Electricity Supply
   • Sewage Connection
9. The permit for demolition will not be granted until the owner gets a statement from the respective service connections and appurtenant equipment.
10. All the meters and regulators should be removed, sealed, and plugged in a safe manner before demolition.
11. After supervising everything the authorities will provide permission to demolish the building.

Apply Online:

1. To Apply License or Permission for Building Demolition in Jharkhand, the applicant shall visit the Jharkhand Municipal website in the link:Link
2. Click on "Municipal License" and select the "Urban Local Body" from the drop down menu.
3. Now click on the "Apply for New License" and fill up the form with all the information to be amended (as specified).
4. Click on the "Save" option to have the application details.
5. Now upload all the scanned copies of the "Required Documents".
6. The applicant shall verify the mobile number via OTP sent to the given phone number.
7. Now enter the captcha and click on the " Submit" button.
8. To pay, the applicant may either generate a challan by clicking "Generate Challan" or else pay the fee in the nearby Jan Suvidha Kendra.
   
   

Apply through Centres:

1. To Apply License or Permission for Building Demolition in Jharkhand, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
2. Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the process.
3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
5. Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
6. On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre.

Required Documents

The documents that are necessary for the building demolition permission are:

• Four copies of the (Ferro-Paper or any type of paper)
• Building Plan
• Ownership document
• Supervision certificate
• Affidavit for peaceful possession of the land
• Structural stability certificate
• NOC from the lessee in case of ease hold
• NOC from Fire Officer
• NOC from Airport Authority
• Environmental clearance
• Details of Fee
• Checklist of the proposed building
• Any other certificate/NOC
• One set of copies should be laminated, and the extra copies if demanded by the authorities.
• NOC certificate from the Neighbour (if the building is Semi-Detached).
• All the copies have to be self-attested by the owner.
• A soft copy in the CAD format can also be submitted by the owner of the building.

Eligibility

Any individual who owns the building is eligible to seek permission for building demolition.

Fees

The fee structure for the demolition of the building is given by the respective authorities after surveying the particular building.

Validity

The building demolition permission is valid for 5 years from the date of permission granted. If the permission expired you have to apply for it again.
