Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for Contract Carriage Temporary Permit (Jeep, Taxi, Maxi, Trekker, Minidor, Maxi Cab) in Jharkhand the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which his area belongs to.

5. Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that can be completed and presented with appropriate fees.

8. Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
   
9. Important verifications for the permit includes Vehicle condition, seating arrangements etc., will be carried by authorities.
   
10. After checking the vehicle for its correctness and other appropriate requirements the application will be processed.
    
    

Apply Online:

1. To Apply for Contract Carriage temporary Permit (Jeep, Taxi, Maxi, Trekker, Minidor, Maxi Cab) in Jharkhand, the applicant shall visit the following webpage: Link.
2. Now click on the "Permit" option and proceed.
3. A new page will open, where the applicant must log in using their login credentials.
4. After login, the applicant shall choose an appropriate option for the process.
5. On a newly opened page, the applicant shall fill up the application form with all the necessary details and complete the given application form.
6. Now the applicant shall upload scanned copies of all the "Required Documents" for further processing.
7. Once the documents are uploaded, provide the mobile number and enter the received OTP.
8. Now click on "Submit" and complete the process.
9. On successful verification, the permit will be issued.
10. Obtain the permit from the concerned office.

Apply through Centres:

1. To Apply for Contract Carriage temporary Permit (Jeep, Taxi, Maxi, Trekker, Minidor, Maxi Cab) in Jharkhand, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
2. Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the card.
3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
5. Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
6. On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre.

3. Fitness Certificate.
   
4. Proof of payment of tax for the current quarter.
   
5. Insurance Certificate.
   
6. No object certificate from the financier if the vehicle concerned is covered by HPA / Lease / Hypothecation.
   
7. Pollution Under Control Certificate
   
8. Payment of green tax wherever applicable.

• Temporary contract carriage permit is needed by a vehicle owner to use his vehicle that was available to cater a temporary requirement
  
• Particular Contract Carriage Permit is the most common type of permit. The permit grants the holder the right to operate under a contract with his client for a specific destination. He cannot pick passengers other than those mentioned in the permit.
