- Step 1 : First one has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online. If you would like to know about the documents that are required for this procedure, please visit the following link : Required Documents for Applying Right To Information (RTI)
- Step 2 : Please use the following link to apply online : Apply Online.
- Step 3 : In this new screen, user shall select the “Submit Request” option which is highlighted in RED in the below image.
- Step 4 : Now you will be provided with the guidelines page. Please go through the guidelines carefully and click the checkbox against “I have read and understood the above guidelines” and click on “Submit” tab which is highlighted in RED in the below image.
- Step 5 : In the new screen user shall complete the sessions Public authority details, Personal details of RTI Applicant, Request details as per the page prompt. If the applicant belongs to below poverty line and all the details are completed as appropriate, then hit “Submit” tab which is highlighted in RED in the below image to file your RTI online.
- Step 6 : After successful submission of your application, a page will be displayed where you can find the details like Registration number, Name, Date of filing RTI and the contact details of the authorities. Refer the below image for more clarification. Then you can select the options highlighted in the below image as appropriate.
- Step 7 : If the applicant doesn’t belong to below poverty line, then select the option as appropriate. A new set of prompt will be provided. Please complete the prompt to make the necessary payment. Please hit “Make Payment” tab which is highlighted in RED in the below image.
- Step 8 : If you hit “Make Payment” tab you will be directed to the payments page where you have to choose the payment mode from the given options. Then click “Pay” tab which is highlighted in RED in the below image. After successful payment, you will get the payment receipt in the further sessions.
