Procedure

This procedure explains various ways to raise a request for the shifting of the electric transformer.
Apply In-Person:

1. To apply In-Person, you should visit the allocated EB office for your location. You can find the office location and contact details on the “HPSEB” website. Location and Contacts
2. While applying In-Person, the consumer should obtain the application from the authorities in the office.
3. You can also write the request letter mentioning the reasons for shifting the electric transformer.
4. Make sure you have all the documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section.
5. The request letter/Complaint form and the required documents should be submitted to the officials in the Electricity Board such as ASSISTANT ENGINEER (AE), ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE ENGINEER (AEE), and SENIOR EXECUTIVE ENGINEER (Sr. EE) in the local Electric Board location.
6. The authorities will go through the application form and provide an estimate of the amount to be paid to the Electricity Board.
7. The estimated amount has to be paid in the Demand Draft (DD).
8. After giving the form, they will provide you the Complaint Docket Number and the payment slip.
9. You have to keep those details safe for future verification and reference purposes.

Apply Online:

1. You can raise a request for the shift of the electric transformer on the official HPSEB website. Website Address
2. You have to select the “Register Complaints” option from the main page of the website.
3. It will take you to the “HPSEB Online Complain Registration” page.
4. You have to select the “Complaint Type” using the drop-down menu.
   • Consumer (If already registered with Consumer Id”
   • Non- Consumer ( New-User)
5. If you are a new consumer then you should select the option “New User Registration”.
6. If you are a Non- consumer you have to enter your details such as
   • Location Code
   • Mobile Number
   • Main Problem Type (Choose “Help Desk”)
   • Sub-Problem Type (Choose “Other Customer Request”)
   • Problem Description ( Explain the reason for shifting the electric transformer)
7. After entering the details, you have to click the “Submit” button.
8. After submitting the complaint, you will receive your “Complaint Docket Number”.
9. You have to save the complaint docket number for future verification and reference purposes.
10. The shifting process will be carried on by the authorities at the desired time.
11. You can track your Complaint in the “Check Complaint Status” option on the main page by entering the Consumer Id/Docket Number.

Eligibility

To request a shift in the transformer, the eligibility criteria are:

• You should have the Consumer Number, any valid Identity proof (Ex. Aadhar Card), and the recently paid electricity bill for the mentioned location for shifting.
• You should be the resident or the owner of the land (leaser too) in the mentioned area for “shifting the electric transformer.”

Fees

• The fee structure for the shifting of the electric transformer is given by the respective Electricity Board Officials depending on the location, wiring, and the power supply details of the particular transformer/pole.
• The consumer should bear the cost of shifting the transformer/pole.
• The evaluated fee should be paid in the form of a Demand Draft to the HPSEB.
