Apply In-Person
- A person desirous of making a complaint about water quality in Himachal Pradesh must visit the Himachal Pradesh Pollution Control Office or Municipal office. Click on the following link to find the contact details of each district link
- Write down the complaint in a detailed manner on white paper. Fill in your name, contact details, address and duration of issue. Attach documents or pictures of proof, if any.
- Submit the letter to the pollution control officer.
- The officer will issue a receipt for further reference.
- No fee is required for this procedure.
- The time limit for each complaint varies according to the credibility and importance of the complaint.
- Any step taken towards the complaint will be notified via Email/SMS/Letter.
Apply Online
- A person desirous of making a complaint about the water quality in Himachal Pradesh must visit the Pollution Control Board website link
- On the homepage, click on the “E-Suggestions” button, which is available at the bottom of the page.
- On the new page, fill in every detail asked, from Name to contact details. Then, select the type of your complaint by clicking the drop-down box named “Suggestion/Complaint Type.”
- Fill in a detailed report of the complaint in the box provided. Then, upload related documents by clicking on the “Choose File” button and click the “Save” button.
- Once all the details are filled in and submitted, an application number will be generated to keep you appraised on the complaint.
- Any steps taken towards the complaint will be notified through SMS or Email.
