ProcedureEdit

Voluntary Services Allowance(VSA) will be paid to all unemployed educated permanent residents of the state, who:

  1. have educational qualification of matriculation and above as on March 31, 2010
  2. have registered themselves with the respective District Employment

Apply In-Person:

  1. The applicant may contact the concerned employment office to apply.

  3. Obtain the application form from the respective counter OR write on a plain paper OR download online. Link :pdf form.
  4. Please obtain the authentication from respective thasildhar of your area.
  5. A duly completed application form or written application along with required documents may be sent by post or delivered personally to the officer in charge of concerned employment office.
  6. The submitted application form and documents will be verified. If all are OK, authority will process the application and provide you with the receipt.Please keep it safe for future requirement.
  7. The claim of Unemployment Allowance of the candidate will be forwarded to the concerned Treasury / applicable department office to process further.
  8. Once approved, the amount gets credited in the bank account of the candidate.

  • Authentication from thasildhar
  • Three specimen signatures, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer.
  • Domicile certificate issued by a competent authority (As applicable)
  • An affidavit duly attested by a Magistrate/ Oath Commissioner in support of his/her claim for unemployment allowance.
  • A medical certificate from Medical Officer of Government hospital/ dispensary (to be furnished duly by blind, deaf and dumb &ortho applicants registered with the special Employment Exchange for Physically Handicapped persons, as applicable)
  • Aadhaar card.
  • Bank account details.
  • Mobile number.
  • Passport size photograph of applicant (please take 5 copies).
  • Certificate to prove the place of residence.
  • Certificate to prove age.
  • Certificate to prove caste, if they belong to reservation communities.
  • In case of disabled persons, Medical Certificates to prove Disability.
  • Any other document to claim benefits offered by respective state government as advised by authorities.
Note : Please show above mentioned documents in originaland attested copies thereof (to be submitted) at the time of applying.

EligibilityEdit

  • have educational qualification of matriculation and above ason March 31, 2010;
  • have registered themselves with the respective DistrictEmployment and Counselling Centres by 05-12-2009 or after this date
  • are members of and dependent upon families having anannual income (from all sources) not exceeding Rs.1.5 lacs.2
  • have attained age of 26 years as on 1st January of the year inwhich he/she applies.3

FeesEdit

Service is free.

ValidityEdit

VSA will be admissible only for a maximum period of three yearsor till the person gets employed or attain the age of 37 years,whichever is earlier.

    • A Medical Certificate from Medical Officer of Government Hospital/ Dispensary
    • A certificate of being of Jammu and Kashmir origin (To be furnished by blind, deaf and dumb applicants only).
    • Three passport size photographs of the applicant, “dully attested by a Gazetted Officer”.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • The Departments of Employment in various States of India allow unemployed educated youth residing in the respective States to pre-register for impending job vacancies occurring in different sectors of that State.
  • Those who are registered with employment exchange and not provided employment are provided with allowance.
  • Candidates who possess educational qualifications other than those of professional and executive standards can register their educational qualifications with the respective Employment Exchanges in their districts

  • Whenever government vacancies are announced, list of registered members with suitable educational profiles are forwarded to respective employers for consideration.
