Procedure

Unemployed youth having 10+2 qualifications or above would be granted Unemployment Allowance at the rate of Rs.1,000 per month by the Government of Himachal Pradesh. The disabled unemployed youth would be given Rs. 1,500 per month.
Apply In-Person:

1. The applicant may contact the concerned employment office to apply.

3. Obtain the application form from the respective counter OR write on a plain paper OR download online. Link : form please refer page 6
4. A duly completed application form or written application along with required documents may be sent by post or delivered personally to the officer in charge of concerned employment office.
5. The submitted application form and documents will be verified. If all are OK, authority will process the application and provide you with the receipt.Please keep it safe for future requirement.
6. The claim of Unemployment Allowance of the candidate will be forwarded to the concerned Treasury / applicable department office to process further.
7. Once approved, the amount gets credited in the bank account of the candidate.

2. In the given page, please click on the “eligibility” icon to get next page.
3. Here, enter your “registration number” (employment registration number) followed by applicable prompt (captcha) and hit “Check eligibility” tab for details.
4. The resulting screen provides information about your eligibility for this scheme. If eligible then hit “next” tab to reach online applying page.
5. In the resulting page, applicant has to enter “registration number” (employment registration number) “date of birth” followed by applicable prompt (captcha) and hit “Proceed” tab for details.
6. Applicant shall complete the page requirement to file his online application.
7. After submitting online application, applicant is required to take print of Application Form, Self Certified Declaration: Sign them: attach the required documents and submit all these documents to the concerned Employment Exchange.
8. This application will be processed further to issue the allowance.
   
   

Note:

• Every claimant to the unemployment allowance shall be required to give an undertaking in the form of an affidavit duly attested, in every subsequent quarter or the period mentioned to the effect that no change has occurred in the facts relating to self, his/her family’s income and unemployment status. Such undertaking shall be filed by the Claimant in the employment exchange of his registration.

• Three specimen signatures, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer.
• Domicile certificate issued by a competent authority (As applicable)
• An affidavit duly attested by a Magistrate/ Oath Commissioner in support of his/her claim for unemployment allowance.
• A medical certificate from Medical Officer of Government hospital/ dispensary (to be furnished duly by blind, deaf and dumb &ortho applicants registered with the special Employment Exchange for Physically Handicapped persons, as applicable)
• Aadhaar card.
• Bank account details.
• Mobile number.
• Passport size photograph of applicant (please take 5 copies).
• Certificate to prove the place of residence.
• Certificate to prove age.
• Certificate to prove caste, if they belong to reservation communities.
• In case of disabled persons, Medical Certificates to prove Disability.
• Any other document to claim benefits offered by respective state government as advised by authorities.

Eligibility

• She/he should be unemployed (should not be employed in Govt. sector or in PSUs or in private sector or self employed) and should be a Bonafide Himachali.
• She/he should have passed minimum 10+2 from any Board/University/Institution recognized by H.P. Govt.
• She/he should be registered with any Employment Exchange in Himachal Pradesh as on the date of application since 1 year.
• Her/his annual family income for the Financial Year immediately preceding date of application, from all sources including that of spouse should be less than Rs. 2.00 Lakh (Rs. Two Lakhs).
• She/he should be above 20 years and below 35 years of age, as on the date of application.
• She/he should not be self-employed.
• She/he should not be a dismissed Govt. employee.
• She/he should not be convicted of any offence resulting in imprisonment for a period of 48 hours or more.
• She/he should not be a regular student pursuing any course.
• She/he should not be availing Skill Development Allowance

Need for the Document

• The Departments of Employment in various States of India allow unemployed educated youth residing in the respective States to pre-register for impending job vacancies occurring in different sectors of that State.
• Those who are registered with employment exchange and not provided employment are provided with allowance.
• Candidates who possess educational qualifications other than those of professional and executive standards can register their educational qualifications with the respective Employment Exchanges in their districts
