Apply In-Person:
- To evict a tenant the owner should approach the department of housing and urban development.
- The officer will advise the owner to write an eviction letter to the tenant.
- The letter must include a strong reason for eviction, the period for eviction, and penalty, if the tenant lived for a long period and attested with the signature.
- Make sure to have all the documents that are listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- After completion, the letter should be submitted, and the designated authority will review the letter.
- After accepting the letter, the eviction letter will be sent to the tenant before moving to the court.
- Case will be filed in the civil court and the notice would be sent to the tenant for hearing.
- The authorities will advise the amount to be remitted as per the mode given in the “Fees” structure below.
- The owner should wait for the decision until the court decides.
- Fees for this procedure is Rupees 100 for suit a file in court.
