Apply In Person
- To Apply for SWAMITVA Card, the applicant has to approach the respective state Revenue Department or Municipal Corporation or Panchayat link
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer or it can be downloaded from the following link link
NOTE: Has to download the respective state form link.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
- Submit the application form and the documents to the authorized officer.
- The fee for this swamitva card is free of cost.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
- Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
- Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
- In some cases, the local authorities might conduct a survey of the applicant’s property to accurately measure its boundaries and record other relevant details.
- If the application is approved and the verification is successful, the applicant will be issued a Swamitva card. This card will serve as an official record of his/her property ownership.
- This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

The eligibility criteria to apply for a swamitva card in India are as follows:
- The applicant must be a resident of a rural inhabited area (abadi) in India.
- The applicant must be the owner of the property in question.
- The applicant must have a valid Aadhaar card and a mobile number linked to the applicant’s Aadhaar card.
- The applicant must have a bank account in the applicant’s name.
