This procedure explains various ways to Register Trademark in Zamboanga City.

Apply In-Person

1. Here's how you can register a trademark with the Intellectual Property Office of the Zamboanga City in person. But, before you start your application, you will need to do a quick trademark search using IPOPHL's database, and see if your trademark is still available. Search for registered trademarks, trademark applications, and pending trademark applications. Try to look for trademarks that bears similarity with the one you are applying for. 2. Next, you will need to fill out two (2) copies of the Trademark Application Form (link to download the form can be found under 'Documents to Use' section).
3. Attach the drawing of the mark to your application.
4. Submit all the required documents and pay the application fee at the IPOPHL cashier.
5. Your application will be formally examined by IPOPHL. A substantive examination will also be conducted by the Office. Your application will be published for opposition for a period of 30 days.
6. Once approved, a Certificate of Registration of trademark will be issued to you. Also, the IPOPHL will publish the newly registered trademark.

For small entities (with 100M worth of assets or less):

For big entities (more than 100M worth of assets):

Other trademark registration related fees

Note: Total charges may vary depending on the number of claims, classes and embodiments applied. All fees are subject to 1% Legal Research Fund (LRF) as required by R.A. 3870. If the fee is below P 1,000.00, the LRF is P 10.00.

Validity

• A trademark can be protected in perpetuity if you will regularly monitor your trademark's registration and properly maintain it.

• The period of protection is ten (10) years from the date of issuance of the certificate of registration and is renewable for a period of ten (10) years at a time.
