ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for registration of a pension scheme in Zambia, the applicant will have to contact the National Pension Scheme Authority office of Zambia, for the main office visit link.
  2. Make sure that you have all the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  3. An application form will be provided to the applicant at any NAPSA office, find the form here Link here.
  4. Once understanding the guideline properly, the applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form, find the form here Link here.
  5. Once the application has been verified, it will be forwarded to the registrar for approval as per the National Pension Scheme Act of Zambia.
  6. Upon the satisfaction of the authorities, a provisional certificate will be accessible.
  7. Pay the fee as given in the “Fees” section of this page.
  8. After the completion of the above steps, the required registration certificate will be accessible.
  9. The applicant gets the document in a stipulated Period.
  10. The payment of benefits can be collected from the NAPSA office address or in the account provided in the application form.

EligibilityEdit

  • The applicant should have attained the pensionable age of 55 years.
  • The applicant should have either made at least 180 months’ contributions to NAPSA, or
  • The applicant should have made the minimum number of contributions specified in the National Pension Scheme (Benefits and Eligibility) Regulations, 2000.
  • The applicant should have made up the minimum required number of 180 contributions by converting your ZNPF balance concerning the provisions of the National Pension Scheme (Benefits and Eligibility) Regulations, 2000.



FeesEdit

  • Registration fee: Pay as per the authority’s request.



ValidityEdit

  • The document will be valid until the claimant has acquired the benefits he/she has applied for.

InstructionsEdit

  • Any claim of a benefit under the National Pension Scheme Act should be lodged with the Authority within six months of the retirement or invalidity or death of the member.
  • Any person who makes a false statement or representation or produces or furnishes or causes to be produced or furnishes any information which he or she knows to be false in a material particular is guilty of an offense under Section 51(I) (C) of the National Pension Scheme Act No. 40 of 1996.
