  • The Uganda Police Recruitment is conducted usually during the first quarter of the year (January – March) or the Last quarter of the Month (August -November).
  • Whatever entry route you go through, there are a number of stages involved in the application process, so it’s good to be prepared and find out what’s involved.
  • The route into policing enables you to receive practical on-the-job learning alongside academic theory and knowledge while earning a wage.
  • You will be a police officer from your first day on the job.
  • It normally takes one years and you are likely to need a ‘’A’’ level qualification to join with is 2 principle passes or equivalent.
  • Assessment of academic and operational competence takes place throughout the programme.
  • Successful achievement of the pre-join degree does not guarantee recruitment as a probationary police constable. Each police force sets out its own entry requirements, recruitment process and selection policy.
  • Police is an equal opportunities employer and the process of recruitment is by rule and merit.
  • Therefore, all applicants are warned against giving bribes or make attempts to influence the recruitment process, through the use of politicians, unscrupulous people, intermediary agents or police men. Any such persons found to be giving such false promises must be reported to the nearest Police Station, PSU, or other Anti-Corruption Agency for investigations.
