Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To get a waste disposal license, the applicant has to visit the Tanzania National Environment Management contact link
2. Applicant must provide all information that is requested in the application form.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant must attach photocopies of all documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form before submitting the application form.
6. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
7. If all these procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the information will be accessed within 15 days.
8. If there is no information regarding the license is provided within 15 days, the applicant can visit the office to know the status of their application.

• Inspection report by an Environmental Inspector

• Name of the Applicant
• Physical Address of the Applicant
• TIN Number
• Types of hazardous wastes to be collected
• Sources of hazardous waste to be collected
• Location and size (in square meters) of the waste transfer station, if any
• If handling liquid hazardous waste, specify type and size of containers to be used
• Collection schedule
• Intended recipient of hazardous waste to be collected
• Any other relevant information
• Is Application for an initial permit or renewal

• This document is necessary for disposing dry and wet wastes from Companies, hotels, and households into any abandoned or remote lands without providing any negative impacts on the environment.
