Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application form for getting license for private, general bonded warehouse, factory and Internal Container Depot is available in Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) contact link
2. Applicant should provide all the information that is requested in the application form.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all the documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant must attach both photocopies and originals of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form before submitting it at the office.
6. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
7. If all these procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the license will be provided within 2 weeks.
8. If there is no information regarding the license is provided within 2 weeks, the applicant can visit the office to know the status of their application.

• A storage facility that is obligated to the government to pay customs fees and taxes on the products that are processed or kept there.

Information which might help

• This license is not transferable.
• Change in the production and business structure of the company including change in shareholders/partners and their share-holding position or the ratio in which the profit is shared must be notified to the Commissioner within one month of the date of change.
