Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application for obtaining a Student Visa in Tanzania is available in Immigration Services Department contact link
2. Applicant has to procure the application form and enter all necessary details in the application form.
3. Applicant must carry photocopies and originals of all documents that are required for completing this procedure.
4. Documents that are required for completing this procedure is mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant has to attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form while submitting.
6. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.
7. If all above-mentioned procedures were followed properly, the visa will be provided within 2 to 3 months.
8. Applicant can collect their visa after receiving notification from concerned authorities.
9. If there is no information provided regarding the visa, applicant can visit the office to know status of their application.

NOTE: To be enrolled in any educational institution in Tanzania be sure you have an admission letter and letter of invitation from the institution; and ensure that you have a valid passport. Go to any consulate office, embassy or high commission in your country to view current Tanzanian visa regulations and requirement.

1. Application for obtaining a student Visa in Tanzania is available online in the following link
2. Applicant must provide all information under the “Basic Information” section and click on the “I’m not a robot” option and then finally click on “Start New Application”.
3. The following page asks for certain information for providing the visa to the applicant which has to be provided by the applicant.
4. Applicant should upload digital copies of all documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
5. Fee for this procedure can be paid online.
6. If all these procedures were followed properly, the applicant will get the visa within 2 to 3 months via post.
7. If there is no information regarding the visa is provided to the applicant even after 3 months, then, the applicant can visit the office to know status of their application.
