ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for a Land Ownership Search, the applicant has to visit the Ministry of Lands, Housing, Water and Energy contact link
  2. Applicant should obtain the application form from the office and fill it up with all the necessary information in it.
  3. Applicant should make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all the documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
  4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure have been mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. Applicant must attach photocopies of all the documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form before submitting it at the office.
  6. The Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request along with the submission of the application form.
  7. Once the fee is successfully paid, the applicant will be provided with a receipt of payment from the officer.
  8. The applicant has to keep the receipt safely for future use and then, the processing time for this procedure will be mentioned by the concerned authorities.
  9. An SMS or E-mail will be sent by the office to the applicant mentioning the availability of the document.
  10. After receiving the notification from the office, the applicant can visit the office to get the document.
  11. If there is no information regarding the document is provided, the applicant has to visit the office to know the status of their application.
