Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application form for getting a permit or license for Spices Export in Tanzania is available in the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries contact link
2. Applicant should make sure to provide all necessary information in the application form.
3. Applicant must make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure is mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant must attach photocopies of documents and whichever original document is needed along with the application form while submitting it at the office.
6. Fee for this procedure is TZS 225,145.95
7. The applicant will be notified regarding the availability of permit within 3 to 9 days.
8. Applicant can visit the office and collect their permit once they got the notification.
9. If there is no notification provided by concerned authorities even after 3 to 9 days, then, the applicant can visit the office to know status of their application.

Eligibility

Any individual or a business owner in Tanzania who is willing to export Spices from any other country to Tanzania is eligible.

Fees

Fee for this procedure is TZS 225,145.95

Validity

Export permit is valid for 3 months.

Instructions

• A person shall not export Spices out of the country without a valid export permit issued by the Director.
• Applicant must provide genuine information while applying for this procedure.
• Applicant should make sure to follow all instructions provided by concerned authorities properly.
• Applicant must complete the application form filling, before submitting, incomplete applications will be rejected.

• Proforma invoice number and date
• Country of Origin
• Name of the Manufacturer
• Signature and Stamp of the supplier

This permit is necessary for exporting Spices from all other countries to Tanzania.
