Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for an equivalence of Foreign Certificates to Tanzanian Education Certificates (NECTA), the applicant has to visit the National Examinations Council of Tanzania contact link
2. Applicant should get the application form from respective authorities and they must provide all the information that is requested in the application form.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all the documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant must attach photocopies of all the documents along with the application form before submitting it at the office.
6. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request which has to be paid along with the application form at the office.
7. The receipt of fee payment will be provided by the respective officer at the office, this receipt has to be kept safe with the applicant since it might be needed later.
8. Once the submission is completed, the respective officer will inform the applicant regarding the processing time and the methods for getting their certificate.
9. If the applicant did not receive the certificate within the mentioned time, they can visit the office to know the status of their application.
