Procedure

Apply In-Person :

1. Prepare and gather all the required documents for your application.
   
2. Contact the nearest Tanzania embassy to book an appointment.
   
3. Obtain the application form from the embassy or download it from the embassy website. E.g. in UK Form
   
4. Fill in the application form and attach all the required documents to it.
   
5. Pay fees for the visa application, obtain the bank slip and attach it to the application from with the other documents.
   
6. Visit the embassy on the date of your appointment.
   
7. Submit your application to the visa section for review and approval, if necessary you will attend an interview for the application.
   
8. The embassy will view your application and grant you your business visa.
   

Note: Business visa will be issued at the Immigration Headquarters, Dar Es Salaam, the Immigration Head Office, Zanzibar, Entry Points and Tanzanian Consular Offices abroad.

Apply Online :

1. Visit the Immigration Services Website: Online
   
2. Click on the “e-service” drop box and select “Online Visa Application”.
   
3. In the new page select “Apply For A New Visa” and fill in the basic information and click on “Start New Application”.
   
4. Copy your application ID and proceed to the next step.
   
5. Fill in the online application form upload and attach the scanned relevant documents for the business visa application.
   
6. After completion of filling the online visa application form, you will have to pay for the visa fees online.
   
7. Upon successful payment, submit your application for processing.
   
8. Lastly, you will receive a message of confirmation of your application on being received
   
9. Wait for the approval of your application before you start your journey.

Eligibility

This visa may be issued to those expatriates who wish to come for short-term assignments which in any way do not exceed 90 days. It may be issued to such foreign expatriates so as to allow them to enter in the United Republic of Tanzania for the following purposes;

1. To conduct special assignments such as fixing/repairing machines or to run short term training, etc.
   
2. To conduct professional roles such as auditing accounts etc.
   
3. To conduct lawful business according to the laws of the country.
   

Fees

• $ 250

An Applicant can make payment of visa fee online through one of the following methods:

• By Visa card or By Master card;
• By Swift transfer (i.e. depositing money directly into bank account at the bank counter).

Validity

• 90 days
  
• This Visa is neither renewable nor extendable unless a special permission is granted by the Commissioner General of immigration.

Instructions

Tanzania business visas are also issued for either single entry or multiple entries or are granted a maximum duration of three of six months. As with short term business visit visas in most destinations a visa of this kind does not constitute to a work permit or employment visa and does not entitle the holder to work in Tanzania weather in paid or unpaid employment. Business visa are temporary immigration solution designed to allow applicants engage in a range of business related activities including attending meetings and business conferences and researching potential buyers and suppliers.

All visitors must obtain visa prior to entering Tanzania except nationals of East African Community, Ghana, Namibia, Romania, Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore and other Commonwealth member States excluding Australia, United Kingdom, Canada, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Nigeria, India, Pakistan, Sierra Leone and South Africa.

National of these countries will require visa when intended stay does not exceed three (3) months.
