Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Registration of Landscape Architectural Profession, the applicant must go to the South African Council for the Landscape Architectural Profession (SACLAP) office in South Africa. Contact Link
2. The application form must be obtained from the authorities at the SACLAP office, or else it can also be downloaded from the official website linked here. Application Form Link
3. The SACLAP will invite application on yearly basis, the applicants can apply only after the release of notification from the SACLAP.
4. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The application form must be filled with all the necessary details, and along with the required documents, it must be submitted to the registration committee at the SACLAP office.
6. The registration committee will verify the application based for the eligibility requirements for the registration process.
7. After verification, if all the details are legitimate then the Registration of Landscape Architectural Profession will be approved by the SALCAP officials.
8. The prescribed registration fee must be paid by the applicant.
9. After the approval, the applicant will be issued with the registration certificate.
10. The application fee and registration process fee must be paid by the applicant and the copy of the payment receipt must be attached along with the application form.

12. The registration application decision will be given within 60 days from the date of submitting the application.

Eligibility

• The applicant applying for Landscape Architectural Profession must have a minimum academic eligibility of NQF 9 for registration.

Validity

• The Registration of Landscape Architectural Profession is valid for one year. The registration must be renewed every year by paying the annual fee.
