ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. To Get Green Fund, the applicant must visit the Department of Forestry, Fisheries, & the Environment office in South Africa. Contact Link
  2. The application form must be obtained from the authorities at the DAFF’s office.
  3. Then the application form must be filled with all the necessary details.
  4. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The application form along with the required documents must be submitted to the Green Fund Management Committee.
  6. The management committee will then verify the application against eligibility criteria for the project funding.
  7. Based on the development and implementation phase of the project and the financial product that the applicant applied for will be taken into priority while evaluating the funding application
  8. If the documents and the details provided by the applicant are legitimate, then the funding will be approved, otherwise, it will be rejected by the Management committee.
  9. If the application is approved, some of the other information will be requested by the Management committee for further references.
  10. After the final approval, the Green Fund Management Committee will inform the decision and the Funding details to the applicant at the later stage.
  11. The fee details for the application will be intimated to the applicant while submitting the application.
  12. The application process will be updated timely to the applicant.

  • Application Form.
  • Registered legal entity or identifiable natural persons (Evidence to be attached).
  • Established bank account at a registered South African financial. (Evidence to be uploaded)
  • Current Tax clearance certificate (Evidence to be attached).
  • No adverse audit findings or disclaimer of audit opinion in the last two years.
  • Not barred from participating in government procurement.
  • Not credit blacklisted through a default judgment or an un-rehabilitated insolvent.
  • The letter of application signed by the appropriate authorized signatory of the organisation.
  • Approved site plans (it is recommended that these be included in the project documents).
  • Project information memorandum / feasibility study.
  • Comprehensive project implementation programme / plan.
  • Project financing strategy (including potential sources of financing and equity etc.
  • Letters of commitment would be important).
  • Project budget and financial model.
  • Environmental impact assessment approvals and authorizations.
  • Project team organogram.
  • Letter of support from Municipal Manager or other applicable authority
  • Other supporting documents. (If applicable)
