ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for exporting Ostriches and Ostrich Eggs in person, the applicant has to visit the office of Directorate of Animal Improvement.
  2. You can find the address and contact details of the Directorate of Animal Improvement office in the “Who to contact” section of the following page: Link
  3. Visit the office of the Directorate of Animal Improvement and get the Application form for exportation of ostriches or eggs, from the relevant department.
  4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
  5. Complete the form as required with relevant details under respective sections. After completing the application form, attach the required documents with the completed form.
  6. Then, proceed to submit the package to the Registrar of Animal Improvement at the office in person for further processes. Make the necessary payment as directed.
  7. You can also submit the application package through post to the postal address of the office of Registrar of Animal Improvement.
  8. After all the processes have got completed, the concerned authorities in the office will issue the permit.

InstructionsEdit

  • You must apply for an export permit 30 days before the intended date of exportation.
  • If there has been an outbreak of bird flu or any other type of disease affecting ostriches, the export of ostriches will not be permitted until the signs of disease have disappeared.
  • A letter authorising the signatory (agent) to sign the application on your behalf, should be submitted along with the application form.
