- To Apply for Paraglider Pilot License, the applicant has to approach the CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY link
- The applicant needs to complete a training program with a certified paragliding school. The training will cover the necessary knowledge and skills required to operate a paraglider safely, including takeoff, flight, landing, and emergency procedures.
- The applicant will need to complete a minimum number of flight hours and demonstrate competence in flying a paraglider.
- The applicant will need to pass a written exam, which will test their knowledge of paragliding theory, weather, aerodynamics, and other related topics.
- The exam is usually conducted by a certified paragliding school or a designated examiner.
- Also, the applicant has to pass a practical exam, which will test his/her flying skills and ability to handle different situations.
- The practical exam will usually involve several tasks, such as takeoff, flying a designated course, landing, and dealing with emergencies.
- All the test tasks will be completed one by one.
- After successful completion of all the tests and the training.
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- Then the application will be processed further.
- Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
- The applicant will get the license through mail or by visiting the office.
- This entire process can be completed within 1- 2 months or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
