Apply Online

  1. To Renew as Environmental Control Officers (ECO (CS)), the applicant has to make the application in GoBusiness licensing portal link
  2. Enter a search “” then click on "Add to selection"> click on "Review and Apply" and then click the "Proceed" button.
  3. The applicant to login with their Singpass Id number and password


Note: If you do not have an account you can register by clicking on register now, read the information marked 1 and 2 and agree to the terms and condition and click on register now, no the next page entry your personal information and submit. You will be issued with you Sing Pass ID number and password. Click on the renew and complete the application form.

  • The applicant has to fill necessary information and upload the required document that are mentioned in “Required Documents” section of this page.
  • After submitting the documents review the application and click submit.
  • After the successful submission the authority send out a letter reply to the applicant within 5 working days of receipt of the application. If the application is incomplete, the applicant will be informed to furnish the pending documents/information within 2 weeks.
  • After approval applicant has to make payment of $120.00 via credit or debit card.
  • The National environment agency will post out the hardcopy of renewed licences within 2 weeks upon successful payment.

  • An environmental control officer needs to renew this document to continue on carrying out his/her work.
  • The Environmental Control Officer (ECO (CS roles include advising construction site contractors on environmental remediation measures, facilitating compliance with the environmental laws, carrying out site inspections and engagement of stakeholders for environmental lapses, as well as educating workers on maintaining good environmental health standards.

  • Under the Environmental Public Health Act (EPHA), a part-time ECO (CS) working at least 15hr/week is required for construction sites with contract sum of between $10 million and $50 million, whereas a full-time ECO (CS) working at least 40hr/week must be engaged by construction sites with contract sum exceeding $50 million.
